things to know
rubbish
Please follow the waste sorting calendar and the guide (find guide here) provided on the fridge. Bin bags are under the kitchen sink. Please note waste sorting is monitored by local authorities. Incorrect refuse sorting and excessive rubbish left inside the property at check-out can result in fines which will be deducted from your deposit or charged at check-out
front door
Don't lock yourself out! The front door doesn't open from the outside without a key, so make sure you don't leave the keys inside the house when staying in the terrace or use the door stopper provided
parking
You cannot park inside the property; free parking is available around the property (watch out for no parking and disable parking signs)
furniture
La Terrazza has been decorated with pieces of furniture and ornaments dating back as far as the 1950s. You will find many books (available for you to enjoy during your stay) and owner's mementos, some of which belonged to her grandmother! We kindly ask you to handle each book and object with extreme care and return it to its place before you leave
rolling shutters
Please take extra care when using the rolling shutters. To open the shutters: put your hands around the belt and pull the belt downward. The belt will automatically retract into the belt box below. To lower the shutters: put your hands around the belt near the belt box (at the bottom). Pull the belt out of the belt box and move your hands upwards. Please do not use the shutter in the corridor
mosquitoes
Unfortunately during warm and hot periods there are many mosquitoes and insects, therefore we recommend you to keep the doors closed (fixed mosquito nets have been applied to the windows). In the house you will find some products for protection from mosquitoes and insects
gas
Gas in the kitchen is supplied through a gas cylinder stored under the sink and we always make sure this is full before your arrival. In the event you run out of gas, please do not attempt to replace the gas cylinder yourself, but contact us and we will come and replace it for you
power
Since the property has a standard electricity power, using multiple appliances together may cause the power to go off due to a power overload. In the event of a power outage, the electric panel (see picture) is located in the box by the window in the living room, while the main switchboard (see picture) is outside the property, by the gate. The key to open this is inside the red bowl on TV stand
toilet
Due to the local plumbing system, to avoid creating clogs and blockages, please do not over-use toilet paper and do not flush down anything except for toilet paper. Please use the bin provided for feminine products, wipes or anything else
